
Nestlé, one of the long-established companies in Turkey, entered the Turkish market in 1875, eight years after its foundation. At the same time as the first sales branch was opened in Karaköy in 1909, consumers were introduced to Nestlé baby food, condensed milk, and chocolate products.
During the era in which Turkey started to become industrialized, Nestlé, with its confidence in the Turkish market, decided to start production, and opened the first chocolate factory in Turkey, in Feriköy in 1927. Nestlé perpetuated its leadership in the following years as well—in 1960, with the CHOKELLA
